The bid committee that hopes to bring the 2024 Olympic Games to Los Angeles unveiled a logo and a new slogan for the bid on Tuesday evening.
The logo depicts an angel in the colors of a Southern California sunset with outstretched arms and a beaming sun at its heart. The slogan for the bid is a uniquely Los Angeles take on the Olympics: "Follow the Sun."
Los Angeles is one of five cities (L.A., Hamburg, Rome, Paris, Budapest) bidding to host the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. The winner will be announced in Sept. 2017.
