LA Galaxy forward Robbie Keane has been nominated for the MLS AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 1 for his beautiful volley Friday night against Chicago.

Keane opened his 2015 scoring account Friday at StubHub Center with a goal in the 81st minute against the Chicago Fire to make the score 2-0. Defender Omar Gonzalez played a balled over the top to Baggio Husidic, who headed the ball to the center of the 18 for an oncoming Keane. The Irishman fired a perfect one-touch volley with his right foot that flew past Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson to put the game out of reach for Chicago.
Keane goes up against Mix Diskerud (NYCFC), Clint Dempsey (SEA), Jozy Altidore (TFC) and Lloyd Sam (NYRB).
