CARSON, Calif. – Romain Alessandrini was crowned LA Riot Squad Player of the Year following Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Minnesota United.
The talented Frenchman leads the Galaxy in scoring this season with 13 goals and 11 assists in his first-year with the Galaxy. Alessandrini notched a brace and an assist in the win against Minnesota.
In addition to earning the LARS POTY, the 28-year-old midfielder has been named to the shortlist for the league’s Newcomer of the Year honor. Alessandrini is also a front-runner for the team’s Most Valuable Player award which will be issued next week.
