In honor of AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) month, tonight's Hero of the Match presented by Pirnia Law … Sergeant (SGT) Sha Liu OF THE UNITED STATES Army.
SGT Liu was born and raised in Tianjin, China. She came to the United States in 2006 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Financial Analysis at the State University of New York Buffalo in 2009. SGT Liu enlisted into the Army on February 19, 2014, in Brooklyn, New York.
SGT Liu has been in the Army for 8 years and has served in three overseas tours (Korea, Germany, and Japan). Now, she is an Army recruiter at Pasadena Recruiting Station. She has traveled to 4 continents and 26 countries. She discovered new places, cultures, cuisines, rituals, and styles of livings while serving in the Army. The Army has given her a lot more than she expected with great benefits.
SGT Liu’s short-term goals are to earn the rank of Staff Sergeant and finish her Master of Science in Accounting. Her long-term goals are to earn a Certificate Public Accountant (CPA) license and retire from the Army.
