CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy head coach Sigi Schmid did not have an immediate update on the status of French midfielder Romain Alessandrini after he suffered an injury in the second half of the team’s 2-1 over the Portland Timbers on Sunday.
Alessandrini notched the eventual game-winner in the 34th minute on Sunday but exited midway through the second half with an apparent right hamstring injury. The issue occurred moments before the substitution when the Frenchman went down after chasing down the ball.
“We really don’t know at this stage,” Schmid said postgame.
