CARSON, Calif. – Two LA Galaxy Academy players were named to the U.S. U-16 Boys’ National Team squad for the Torneo Della Nazioni in Italy later this month.
Academy defenders Adrian Aguilar and Mauricio Cuevas were named to the roster for the tournament which runs from April 24 to May 1. The tournament opens on April 24 with a match against Italy, before the U.S. faces Libya two days later. The U.S. U-16’s end the group stage on April 27 against Croatia. The Semifinals will take place on April 29, with the final on May 1.
In addition, six players from the LA Galaxy U-14’s have been named to a three-day U.S. Soccer U-14 training camp in Chula Vista. Galaxy Academy players Danny Vega, Christian Torres, Jonathon Lemus, Micheal Hernandez, Walter Portalos, and Kai Djerbaka will participate in the camp this weekend
