CARSON, Calif. – Ashley Cole’s impressive finish against Real Salt Lake has been nominated for the 2017 LA Galaxy Goal of the Year award presented by AARP.
Cole scored his lone goal of the 2017 campaign in brilliant fashion with a stunning tally in the Galaxy’s July 4 contest against Real Salt Lake. Jose Villarreal supplied the Englishman with a looping pass over the Salt Lake defense to set up the left back who beat Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando with a clever left-footed touch.
