CARSON, Calif. – Giovani dos Santos’ acrobatic effort against Minnesota United is one of the 11 nominees for the 2017 LA Galaxy Goal of the Year presented by AARP.
Dos Santos scored one of the league’s best goals of the season with his sublime finish against Minnesota United in May. The Mexican international astounded when he deftly flicked a pinpoint Romain Alessandrini cross with the outside of left foot into the back of the Minnesota net for the goal.
The goal earned the LAGalaxy.com Goal of the Month honors for May and was among the 16 nominees for MLS’ AT&T Goal of the Year.
