CARSON, Calif. – TOPSoccer’s Sandra Castillo is one of the 23 participants nominated for the 2018 MLS WORKS Community MVP.
A fixture in the Southern California soccer scene for the last 25 years, Castillo has worked with the TOPSocccer community which is designed to help athletes with physical and mental disabilities participate in soccer. Castillo has chaired the TOPSoccer program for the past 16 years.

The finalists were selected after being nominated by other members of their community for using soccer as a tool to help make a positive impact in one of the following areas:
- Social issues focusing on inclusion, diversity and equality
- Health issues affecting men, women or children
- Community service for a local, national or international charity or community organization
Castillo will represent the Galaxy at the 2018 MLS All-Star Game where the Community MVP will be announced. The winner will receive a $25,000 donation to their respective charity.
