CARSON, Calif. – Romain Alessandrini’s spectacular free kick against Sporting Kansas City has been nominated for the 2017 LA Galaxy Goal of the Year presented by AARP.
Alessandrini set MLS alight with a brilliant debut season in Los Angeles and one of his most majestic finishes came in September against Sporting Kansas City. In the Galaxy’s 1-1 draw with Sporting, Alessandrini scored the lone goal in remarkable fashion when he curled a left-footed effort past eventual MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Tim Melia for the finish.
