Shane Long scored the lone goal in Ireland's impressive victory over the defending World Cup Champions. With the win, Ireland has locked down third place in Group D and, at least, a slot in the qualifying playoff.
The Irish have all to play for on Sunday hen they take on Poland in Warsaw. A victory and the Irish qualify outright for the European Championships for the second consecutive tournament by finishing second in the group. A draw or a loss and the Irish will be qualifying playoffs in November.
