CARSON, Calif. – Steven Gerrard will be back in the fold on Sunday when the LA Galaxy take on Seattle Sounders FC.
Gerrard missed the Galaxy’s 2-1 win over the Portland Timbers last Saturday with an undisclosed injury that the 36-year-old picked up a week earlier against Houston. The central midfielder has been in full training throughout the week, and Galaxy boss Bruce Arena says that it is “very likely” that he plays on Sunday.
“I feel good. I had a niggle which was not too serious,” Gerrard told reporters on Friday. “With two games on turf on the bounce, it was sensible to be careful with the first one. I’m feeling fine and ready to go on Sunday.”
