CARSON, Calif. – Jonathan dos Santos is ready to hit the field with the LA Galaxy.
The 27-year-old Mexican midfielder received his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate on Saturday ahead of the Galaxy’s match against the Portland Timbers. Dos Santos will now be eligible for selection for Sunday’s match at Portland.
The Galaxy’s newest Designated Player will also don the No. 8 jersey for the LA Galaxy. Dos Santos has worn the No. 8 jersey for C.F. Villarreal.
The midfielder’s Galaxy jersey along with other exclusive JDS merchandise will be available for purchase at MLSStore.com and the Galaxy Team Store early next week.
Due to Dos Santos' number selection, midfielder Joao Pedro will now wear No. 88.
