KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Giovani dos Santos did not feature in the LA Galaxy’s 2-2 draw with Sporting Kansas City, but head coach Bruce Arena isn’t too concerned about the Mexican striker’s status.
Dos Santos missed the Galaxy's draw in Kansas City due to hip flexor tightness. Despite being technically available for the match, the 27-year-old spent the entire game on the bench and did not participate in warmups.
After the draw, Arena told reporters that his leading goal scorer would be back in the lineup when the Galaxy host Seattle Sounders FC next week.
“He'll be alright,” Arena said. “We could have played him today, but we decided to be very cautious so we could have him ready for next week.”
