Could Landon Donovan back on the U.S. National Team?
Not likely, but the recently un-retired LA Galaxy legend told The Dan Patrick Show that he wouldn’t rule it out.
In an interview with Patrick, the 34-year-old admitted that if he felt like could be an asset to the USMNT, he wouldn’t turn down a call from head coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
“If I felt I could actually help and contribute? Then yeah, of course [I’d suit up],” Donovan told Patrick. “That’s a million miles away; I’ve played a total of like 20 minutes now in two years.”
Donovan’s last match with the USMNT came on Oct. 10, 2014, against Ecuador in Hartford, Conn. The Galaxy midfielder is the all-time leading goal scorer with 57 goals in 157 appearances.
